Tuesday 23.10.07 Second rain delay

Another rainy, wet, dreary, cold day in Kaz. Gloomy gloomy. Not a good day to play ball…just stay inside and play. Daniel watched the same Nija Turtle movie he saw yesterday, but this time, it was in English. He was glued to the screen again, and laughed and seemed to recognize what was going on.

We did take a few minutes today and resized the baseball bat. Daniel helped Papa with the hand saw, and no one got hurt or cut. Plus we took a different approach on the stickers, it is a sand art picture that you have to peel off the sticker, and then pour the various colors of sand on the sticky part. We got about 1/3 thru our first project - a bird in the jungle. It is quiet colorful.

We did make more progress on the computer games. Daniel’s mouse skills are improving, and he has learned how to enter his name….D a n i e l.

Ok…here’s today’s photo of Daniel in his muscle man undershirt.

I am enjoying your blog and most especially, the pictures and videos! Thank you for sharing this special time with all of us. Ah...it brings back soooo many memories! It brings me back to some very fun and exciting times. Believe it or not, it makes me long to return to the Detsky Dom just for a visit! Daniel Jake is a very handsome fella! He looks like Momma Becky! Sorry Papa Steve. He also appears to be a natural at baseball, but don't be surprised if he takes up football, rock climbing and wrestling! Baseball moved to slow for our little man. He has now opted for more aggressive sports (that now includes getting the pretty blonde-haired girls too, I guess you've got to be the quarterback on the recess football team to get to sit by Alissa Krautz, but that's something you won't have to worry about for a few years at least). I hope you continue to enjoy Kaz. and Ust. As always, we're thinking about you on a daily basis. Tell my friends, Valentina, Luba and Jahan that I am sending them warm hellos and big hugs! Hi again! I'm enjoying your daily reports from Kaz. Looks like you have found yourself a very handsome little guy, and I know he's found himself a great family. Glad you are better, Becky, and I'm proud of you, Steve, for conquering the problem with the bat! You'll have a "Little Leaguer' in no time!
